PRIVACY AND ETHICS

Here you  can find some further information about how your privacy and confidentiality are kept in alignment with British regulations, GDPR and my professional bodies Codes of Ethics.

GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires that everyone is clearly informed about how their data is collected and managed in order for their privacy and rights to be maintained.

This website collects essential cookies to run, which you can agree to and which are managed and processed by Wix. When you share your details via the 'contact me' box, for example, this information passes through Wix until it reaches my personal email address.  I will not disclose or share this information as it is covered by your right to confidentiality and privacy.

Online/Remote sessions are operated via the telephone, Whatsapp or Zoom, and you have your choice to consent to the use of any of these platforms/apps accordingly.

When you contact me online, on the phone or in person and choose to share personal information in order for me to provide you a service  – such as your name, address, phone number, as well as your emergency contact, GP or health/care information, for example – this information will only be used and kept for such service to be carried out and it will not be shared with third parties unless explicitly agreed by you in special circumstances.  This means that I will contact you on your preferred means of contact whenever and solely in instances in which we need to discuss the service I provide (for example, to discuss sessions, scheduling, breaks, payments, etc.).

I take all security measures to keep all personal and private information safe. Any data collected in order to perform my services safely and legally  (including, for example, invoices, financial details, notes) are kept to a maximum of three years until the end of our work together.

During this period of data retention you have the right to access, to be forgotten and of data portability according to UK GDPR.

If you have any questions about this, please get in touch!

CONFIDENTIALITY

The content of our sessions and all and any information you share with me are strictly confidential. Confidentiality can only be breached under extreme circumstances according to British regulations of safeguarding.

This means I will not share any information with third parties, make any information public nor contact third parties without your explicit consent.

ETHICS

I abide by the Code of Ethics  of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and of The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis.  These principles of conduct and ethics are important to protect our work together.
